PE fun!

We had a lovely afternoon out with Mr Steadman for PE.
The children were given a challenge: keep practising your ‘plank’ at home so that you can strengthen your core muscles.

PE kits

PE is on Thursdays and Fridays.

Children will need black shorts, white t shirts and pumps. Plain jogging bottoms can be worn outside in cooler weather.

We had an amazing first day back in Year 6!

What did we get up to?

English – we role played and learnt our new text Kidnapped. We also did some handwriting practice in our new books.

Maths – we practised reading and writing numbers up to 10,000 000

Topic – we went over to the high school to use their wonderful science labs. Over there, we examined sheep’s hearts. This was such a fantastic hand on approach to learning and the children were fascinated.

The children should have come home with a handful of letters. If they haven’t, please let us know.
